How to get fit as a mum

How to get fit as a mum

Like you, I've struggled with fitness levels in the past. I say in the past, but I really mean just 65 days ago.

Let me explain. For many years I would say that I wanted to get fit, tone up, lose weight, but when it came down to it, I just couldn't be bothered. Exercise was so far down the agenda that although I ran a few miles from time to time, it wasn't frequent enough to make a difference.

Under my clothes, I did not feel or look good. I knew I had to do something about it. But 1. I hate gyms, 2. I'm busy, 3. I didn't want to fork out for a personal trainer, because well, 1 & 2.

Recently though, I decided it really was time to do something about my fitness levels. Health scares for my parents meant that at 40 I was suddenly questioning my diet, my lifestyle, my general health. On close inspection, I did not come up to scratch!

I'd always envisioned that Inspiring Mummy Club would have a health, wellness and exercise element to our offerings, although since I wasn't towing the party line so to speak, I felt somewhat fraudulent about promoting those elements when I wasn't walking the walk, so to speak.

Along came several of those synchronistic moments that make life exciting. One friend had just completed an 80 day fitness and nutrition programme and looked AMAZING, just as another friend, from a completely different part of my life became a coach for the very same company.

I decided to give exercise a proper go...

Fast forward 65 days. I have transformed my body, its health, its strength and I'm feeling more confident than ever. I never thought I could look this good. I've worked hard for it, but actually, it's been quite straightforward.

So much so that we now have Minniina Abbott as our resident fitness guru, and between us, we'll be helping lots of Inspiring Mummies to get up and get fit.

The programme gives you access to hundreds of workouts, which you can do from home, online, and the best is the accountability and support element. Through a Challenger Tracker App, we can keep you fixed on your goals, and join you every step of the way. Find out more here (sign up for the 3 month membership to Beachbody, and get your 14 days free trial), I'm excited about helping you turn your health and fitness around too.
